How I Came To Be
Born in small town New Hampshire, came up in suburban New Jersey, spent adolescence on the Tex-Mex border and settled in rapidly-growing San Antonio, TX. Not only did such movement develop a varied and flexible perspective in me, it also cultivated a love of stable centers for me to escape into: mythology, fiction and art.
In second grade, I fell in love with comic books (Superman and super hero comics in particular) with Superman vol. 2 #75, also known as the Death Issue. Morbid though this may seem, it taught me through the emotional story being told and the raw, impactful Dan Jurgens-led artwork just how powerful and visceral written and visual storytelling could be. Check out my Patreon for my full soapbox musings on the subject, but the point is that it kicked off this journey into storytelling and artistic creation that I have been on since 1993.
Who I am
I put great stock in the power of myth, storytelling and icons. I also maintain a strong focus on authenticity as my bread and butter in business and creation. I pay attention to details and emotional significance in what I create in order to ensure I generate the feelings and responses I’m after, which is tremendously important in both business branding and in storytelling.
As such, I work closely with my clients to ensure that, whether we’re discussing a pinup or a business logo, I am creating something that not only achieves my client’s vision but adds to it. When I create a piece of art, a comic page, a business logo or a marketing graphic for you, I want you to feel the quality of the finished product in your bones.
Art Pinups
Hand-drawn and colored digital art prints created in direct collaboration with the client. Sketches are provided free of charge to ensure concept cohesion.
Pricing:
- $180 per pinup for single character/basic gradient background in full color.
- $120 per pinup for black-and-white/line art only.
- Additional charges:
- Complexity (detailed background, additional characters): Quoted at the time of order.
- Rush jobs (deadlines within 10 days): $30 surcharge per pinup.
- Discounts:
- $15 off per pinup for orders of two.
- $20 off per pinup for orders of three or more.
- Payment: 50% upfront and 50% after proof of completion.
Comic Book Pages
- Hand-drawn and colored digital comic book pages created in direct collaboration with the client. Sketches/page thumbnails are provided free of charge to ensure concept cohesion.
- Pricing:
- $250 per page for 4–6 panel pages in full render/color.
- $200 per page for black-and-white/line art only.
- Additional charges:
- Complexity (additional panels/complex designs): Quoted at the time of order.
- Rush jobs (deadlines within three weeks): $50 surcharge per page.
- Script development/writing assistance: $30 per page.
- Discounts:
- $15 off per page for orders of two.
- $20 off per page for orders of three or more.
- Payment: 50% upfront and 50% after proof of completion.
Business Logos
- Description: Customized digital text files and/or graphic logos created in collaboration with the client. Sketches are provided free of charge to ensure concept cohesion.
- Pricing:
- $140 per logo for simple shape/text logo with basic colors.
- Additional charges:
- Complexity: Quoted at the time of order.
- Rush jobs (deadlines within 10 days): $20 surcharge per logo.
- Discounts:
- $15 off per logo for orders of two.
- $20 off per logo for orders of three or more.
- Payment: 50% upfront and 50% after proof of completion.
Business Marketing Packages
